Campaign finance reform is long overdue. For too long, Covina politics has been dominated by developer and utility money—eroding trust in our system and leading to a culture where fundraising often takes priority over serving residents. Too often, major donors end up rewarded with appointments to city boards and commissions only to advance their own interests.

This campaign is about doing things differently—starting with how it’s funded. I am voluntarily adopting the strictest contribution limits in this race and urge Covina to do the same city wide.

Additional safeguard: Individuals who have potential conflicts of interest in Covina (such as business holdings or contracts with the city etc) will be limited to a maximum personal contribution of $500. Less than 10% of the legal limit.
